We have been operating since 2012 and have had many successful cases of rehabilitation and recovery of our residents, and moving them onto lower supported living or independent living. We will be delighted to discuss and share with you our case studies. Please contact us for details.

We have been working with the CQC since we've opened in 2012 and it has been challenging from the very first registration. We've had some very good inspectors who understand Mental Health and our services very well and were complimentary about our services and work in partnership with us. But we have been unfortunate to have had inspectors who were unprofessional, did not understand Mental Health services, ignored evidences and made subjective judgements without backing of clear Regulatory Guidelines.

Currently we have 3 homes rated as 'Good' and the latest home recently rated 'Requires Improvement'. We have challenged this rating following CQC procedures but without avail.

We will continue to fight this to protect our reputation and the ongoing welfare of our service users and staff. Some of the issues we have with the report are:

  • CQC told us to talk about 'End of Life care' to our Mental Health service users who suffer from depression, suicidal ideation and self-harm. This will cause harm to our service users; professionals and family fully support our view.
  • CQC said our risk assessment were not detailed enough although when challenged CQC said it was for another service user but the same risks do not apply. The rating was still not changed.
  • CQC said that our training was not thorough enough in Mental Health although we provided evidences of our training records and the successful outcome of our service users demonstrated the effectiveness of our training.

We will continue to challenge CQC on social media, national newspapers and legal route. It may mean that CQC will purposely rate down all our other homes but we feel that CQC inspectors been grossly unfair, dictatorial without due regards to their actions and if continued like this for other providers will harm the Mental Health Community Care service industry in the UK.

Please contact us on email below if you wish to know more or have similar experiences with CQC.
